The 1910 census gives his "Indian name" as WaConChaHoNoKah, which is for Wakąjaxųnųga, "Young Thunderbird" or "Small Thunderbird," a Thunderbird Clan name. The name is from Wakąjá, "Thunderbird"; xųnų, "little, young"; and -ga, a definite article suffix used in personal names.
