Biography
Elizabeth, b abt 1631; m1 by abt 1656 Robert Brooks; m2 in Salem 22 Sep 1669 George Curwin. She died 23 April 1698 in Boston.
In his 1831 History of Scituate, Massachusetts, from its first settlement to 1831, Samuel Deane claimed that Elizabeth Winslow, daughter of Gov. Edward Winslow married Gilbert Brooks. Robert Charles Anderson asserts in The Great Migration that this claim is wrong. Anderson states that Elizabeth Winslow actually married Robert Brooks.[1]

Something is wrong with this picture. The Elizabeth Winslow who married Richard Clarke was the d/o Edward Winslow who married Elizabeth Dixey. Then Edward Winslow Sr. married Elizabeth Hutchinson. This Edward was the s/o John Winslow who married Mary Chilton, and Mary was d/o James Chilton the Pilgrim. Check you Mayflower sources.
This particular Elizabeth is just hooked up with the wrong parents. However Edward Winslow and his wife Susanna, both Pilgrims on the Mayflower, did have a daughter Elizabeth.
