Lucy Winthrop was born to John Winthrop Jr., and his second wife Elizabeth Reade in Boston in 1639. [1]
Lucy Winthrop married Edward Palmes, as his first wife. They reportedly had a daughter Lucy who married Samuel Gran, and then Samuel Lynde of Saybrook.[2]
Lucy Winthrop Palmes died, apparently in New London, Connecticut, intestate. One source reports that to have occurred in 1676. However, it may have been much later. On 1 Sep 1707 that her husband Edward Palmes of New London applied directly to the Captain General and Governor of the Province of New York, Vice Admiral Edward Hyde, Viscount Cornbury, to grant him powers of administration to inventory and then dispose of the goods and chattels she had owned in New York and to collect credits due her and pay her debts, which Lord Cornbury approved.[3]
