James Winton was born in Sevenoaks Weald in 1862. He was the son of James Winton and Jane Baker [1].

He was baptised in Sevenoaks Weald on 25 December 1862.

He passed away on 31 March 1896, at the Maidstone County Lunatic Asylum, Kent, England, cause of death was Phthisis (TB) [2] [3]
