Retired Grazier Fatally Injured at Bribie Island
Suffering from a broken pelvis and other injuries, Charles Harcourt Wippell 49, retired grazier, was found under a balcony of the Bribie Island Hotel on Saturday. He died shortly afterwards. On the previous night Wippell fell heavily from his bed at the hotel, and police were undecided yesterday whether he met his death by a fall from the balcony or by a collapse after he had walked downstairs from his room. Wippell had not been in good health for some time, and had been living at Bribie island for three months. He lived formerly in the St. George district. He leaves a widow and three children.
