Johann Hinrich Wischhusen was born on April 18, 1791 in Grasberg, Osterholz, Hanover, Prussia, German Empire, son of Friedrich Wischhusen (1760– ) and Ann Gerdruth Eickhofs (abt. 1760– ).[1]

In 1851, John Henry (60) Citing: "England and Wales Census was living in Saint Botolph Bishopsgate, Middlesex. [1]
Fire in 1840
In 1840, the Berkshire Chronicle reported a great fire in Bishopsgate where the extensive premises of J H Wischhusen, a skin dresser of Lamb Alley, Sun Street, Bishopsgate, London were destroyed by the fire including his immense stock of skins. [4]
The 1851 census shows him in St Botolph's parish of Bishopsgate, London. [5]
On his son, Henry's wedding certificate he is described as a furrier.
Death
Johann died about 1865 in London, England, United Kingdom, aged 73.[6]
