Biography
The following information is gleaned from the 1881 Town History of Marlborough[1] where he is listed in the chapter "Prominent Invidividuals".
"Son of Major John and Mary (Tayntor) Wiswall."
"In 1822, Mr. Wiswall united with the Congregational Church. His activity in the church led, much to his surprise, to his election as deacon. "
Married Sophronia Kendall of Athol, Mass in 1830. "Six children were born to them, of whom only two survive, a son and a daughter. "
In 1834, "he sold his farm and stock, and removed East and entered the seminary at Bangor." "Graduated Bangor in 1836 and was settled as pastor of the church in Brooks and Jackson..." 1854 moved to Windham Me, "where he has since labored."
