William was born about 1826. He passed away in 1864.

Death Notice
Accidentally drowned, at Brisbane, on the 11th March, Mr. William Witham, master mariner, aged 39 years. [Auckland and Canterbury papers please copy.] [1]

Research Note

No death record can be found in QLD or NSW BDM indexes. No record could be found of William's burial in the Paddington cemetery in 1917 when the cemetery was resumed. It is likely that the headstone was lost.
