Born 22 JUL 1880. McDowell County, North Carolina, United States. [1][2][3][4]

Died 8 OCT 1921. Higgins Township, McDowell County, North Carolina, United States. [5]

Buried 9 OCT 1921. Nebo, McDowell County, North Carolina, United States. Note: Her gravesite is at 35 degrees North 39.902 minutes 081 degrees West 54.426 minutes.[6]

Event: Marion Progress. Obit 13 OCT 1921. Note: The Death Angel visited the home of Mr. J. A. Hensley on October 8 and called the mother of the home from this earthly home to her eternal home. Mrs. Hensley was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Withrow. In 1897 she was united in the Holy bonds of wedlock to Mr. J. A. Hensley. To this union there were born ten children, seven girls and three boys. She was a loving and tender mother and a faithful companion. At the age of 16, she professed faith in Christ and joined the Harmony Grove Missionary Baptist church of which she has been an active member for 25 years. She loved her church and was always ready and willing to keep her vow and bear her share of church work, both spiritual and financial. She loved the Lord's work. When the 75-Million dollar campaign was on she made a pledge and paid every cent of it before she went to face her Lord. She was in her forty-second year when the call came. We hated to give up such a good Christian mother and neighbor, but we bow in humble submission to Him who doth all things well. Interment was made in Harmony Grove cemetery on Sunday, October 9. Rev. J. T. Bowden, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Marion conducted the funeral services in the presence of a large audience. The tokens of love in the form of flowers were many and came from all parts of the country. The grave was covered in wreaths of flowers. The deceased leaves a mother, five brothers and four sisters, her husband, ten children, a grandson and a host of friends to mourn her death. The family have our heartfelt sympathy. A Friend.[7] sold her share of her mother's estate to her brother W. F. Withrow. Prop Event. 8 MAR 1935. McDowell County, North Carolina, United States. Note: Of course since she was already deceased, her share went to her husband and each of her children equally. Her share was valued at $50, which actually meant that her share was split again ten ways.[8][9][10]
