Rowland was born about 1768, likely in Bedford County, Virginia Colony (where his parent's resided). Rowland died around 1834 in Bedford Co., Virginia.[1]

Marriage

Rowland married Sarah (Sally) Duvall in Campbell Co., Virginia, on 31 January 1793[2]. Surety was Skinner Duvall[3]

Censuses

1820[4]: Rowland was living in the Southern District of Bedford Co., Virginia. On the same page are listed his brothers Mills and John. Listed are: Males: 1<10; 1 16-25; 1 45+ (Rowland). Females: 1<10; 2 10-15; 4 16-25 (wife Sally not listed based on born 1775 or earlier for a 1793 marriage).

1830[5]: In Bedford Co., VA. John Witt is next door (son's age). Males: 1 50-59 (Rowland). Females: 1<5 (?); 1 10-14 (Anne); 1 15-19 (Mary or Mildred?); 2 20-29 (Agnes?, 2nd wife?).
