She married David Hagan in Crab Orchard, Kentucky on 30 September 1822 when she was about 15 years old. They had 4 children together in Kentucky before moving to Clay County in western Missouri around 1830. They had two more children in Missouri, but Polly died shortly after the birth of their youngest son James in 1834.
