Per the inscription on her headstone in Campbell Co., Tennessee, Mary was the wife of John S. Reed, born Mar 8, 1812 and died Nov. 24, 1892[1]. She is reportedly the daughter of Edmund Whitt Jr. (abt.1780-bef.1850) and Sarah (Cook) Witt (abt.1790-1872).
