Daughters of the American Revolution
Peleg Wixsom is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A127285.

Peleg Wixom was born December 17, 1726, in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, a son of Robard Wixsom and his wife, Elizabeth. [1] During the American Revolutionary War, Peleg enlisted as a soldier, under the command of Colonel Weissenfel, in Dutchess county, New York. Peleg is honored for his military service by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, as Ancestor #A127285. DAR records indicate that Peleg's wife's name was Maigaut (?nee). Maigaut is the Dutch spelling of the name, which is anglicized as Margaret or "Peggy." Application for membership in the Society have been made by the descendants of his son, John Wixom, who married Lavina Cronk. John Wixom and Lavina's father, Sibert Cronk, also served in the military during the American Revolution and have DAR Ancestor records, as well.
