William was the son of Oscar Jerome and Harriet Elmira (Confer) Wolfe
He married first Bertha May Steiger, daughter of Jacob and Rebecca Amelia (Long) Steiger - they divorced about 1910
He then married Aurelia Charlotte Schnaidt in Dec 1915 at Hutchinson, South Dakota, USA
He retired from the Pennsylvania Railway
He is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery, Spring Mills, Centre, Pennsylvania, USA
