OBITUARY: Raymond Melvin Wolff, born October 2, 1927 to Carl and Antonia Wolff in Fayette County, Texas, passed away March 1, 2013 in Houston, Texas. He was baptized October 30, 1927 by Rev. A. E. Moebus in Zion Lutheran Church, La Grange, Texas, and confirmed there on May 10, 1942 by Rev. Arthur Koehler. Raymond served his country proudly in the Army during the Korea War from January 17, 1946 until March 18, 1947. Mr. Wolff was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Joyce Schramm, and his first wife, Leona Groeschel Wolff. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Schneider Wolff; children, Jerrell Wolff and wife, Carleen, Darrell Wolff and wife, Ruth, Russell Wolff and wife, Raegan, Jeanette Walls and husband, Elton, and Lisa Juergen; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, and by many nieces, nephews, other family, and a host of friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Heights Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2013 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 4040 Watonga Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77092. Interment will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
