Biography

Birth

William Womack was born about 1510 in East Dereham, Norfolk, England. He was the son of William Womocke born about 1490 also of East Dereham, England. He was the brother of James Womocke, Margaret Womocke and Isabel Womocke. William Womocke died 1585 in East Dereham, Norfolk.[1]

Marriage

William Womack was 18 years of age and his soon to be wife, Agnes Scarlett was 12 years old. That would make the wedding sometime in 1528. There first child Arthur Womack was born in 1528.[2]

Children

William Womack lived in East Dereham, Norfolk, England early in the sixteenth century. His son Arthur, was a Rector of Lopham in 1578 and was buried there in 1607. Son, Laurence, was Rector of Lopham in 1607 and of Fersfield in 1609.[3]

1. Arthur Womack was born in 1528 in East Dereham, Norfolk, England. He married at the age of 51 on 12 May 1579 in Norfolk, England to Winifred Queenie Alice Rouse. He had 6 children: 1)Laurence, Rector, Lopham Womack; 2) Elizabeth Womack; 3) William Charles Augustus Womack; 4) Arthur Womack; 5) Alice Womack Piccinino; 6) Rhoda Womack. He died 18 Jun 1607 at St. Andrews, South Lopham, Norfolk, England.[4]


2. Hugh Womack was born in 1534 and baptised in 1538. He married Joan Randall in East Dereham in 1560.[5] When Hugh Womack was born in 1534, in East Dereham, Norfolk, England, his father, William Womacke, was 24 and his mother, Agnes Scarlett, was 18. He married Joan Randall in 1556, in Norfolk, England.[6]

William Womack died in 1585 in East Dereham, Norfolk, England. His Will was entered into probate.
