William Womack was a Virginia colonist.

William was born about 1764 In Virginia. He was the son of Jesse Womack (1740–1782) and Sarah Daniel (1742–1824).

William served in the Revolutionary War.

He married Rachel Gilpin (1779–1829) on 3 November 1797 in Bedford County, Virginia.

They were the parents of at least the following children:

  • Jesse Womack 1796–1865
  • Mary Womack 1801–1860
  • Betsy Womack 1802–
  • Sarah Sallie Womack (1806–1885)
  • Harriet Womack (1808–>1880)
