Biography

Sarah was born 25 January 1844 or December 12th 1844. [The January date is from an unsourced record; the December date is from her son Dr. A.B. Cameron of Edmonton, Alberta as recorded on her death certificate.] She married Alexander Cameron and lived in Summerstown. Sarah died February 4th 1933 and was buried February 6th in Salem Presbyterian churchyard, Summerstown. ^[1]

Research Notes

There are two memorials for her. 1. She is named on a marker with her husband. The Find A Grave memorial for that shows one image for their marker, yet state that she was buried in Salem United Church Cemetery in Summerstown and that Alexander was buried in Alexandria United Church Cemetery in Alexandria. Both are in Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry United Counties. ^[2] 2. She is named on a marker with her father and siblings in Cameron Cemetery in Indian River, Peterborough County, Ontario, Canada. ^[3] A merge has been suggested to Find A Grave on 26 May 2023
