Biography

Pleasant Wood served in the Kentucky Militia in the War of 1812
Service started:
Unit(s): Third Regiment (Miller's)
Service ended:

Pleasant was born in 1785. He passed away in 1849.

Served as a Private in the 3rd Kentucky Militia Regiment (Miller's) during the War of 1812,

Uncertain where he was born. Some unsourced trees list North Carolina.

Unsourced family tree handed down to F Daryl Wood.

Likely sister Celia or Leila Wood (born about 1783), who was married on the same day, in the same place to an Edward Chambers. Edward Chambers appears to still be living in Barren county, KY in 1840 - but it's likely that Celia is no longer living as there are no women over 30 in the household.

The Pleasant Wood listed here: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/K635-F4D is supposed to be the same person, but I can find no sources that put Pleasant as the son of James Wood. Additionally no older sister is listed there.
