Hullo Heather. Regarding your recent change to the preferred name of Roberts-20732. Your change was incorrect as Dr Herbert Spencer Roberts was not known as "Herbert" although Herbert was his birth first name. He was known as Dr Herbert Spencer Roberts or Dr H. Spencer Roberts, or Spennie depending on the degree of formality as is evidenced in the detail within the biography section.. Please don't change the preferred name just because it is not the birth first name. For a lot of my relatives their middle name was all or part of their usual preferred name.

Thanks for your note to me. I'm glad you want to be more involved and help out on WikiTree. Some suggestions:

Since some of your ancestors came from France to Quebec, it's possible they might fall under the Acadians Project. Another possibility is the Maine Project.

And there is always the Profile Improvement Project, devoted to sourcing and improving profiles on WIkiTree. We always need volunteers there :)

And you might check out the Volunteer Hub, where many other options are listed for people who want to be active on WIkiTree.

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles.
