SILAS WOOD was born January 5, 1782 in Southborough, MA[1] and died April 9, 1827 in Fitzwilliam, NH. He served as sexton in Fitzwilliam like his father Jonas Wood.[2] He married BETSEY DUNTON, daughter of James Dunton and Sibyl Angier. She was born 15 Feb 1785 in Fitzwilliam and died 1 April 1866 in Fitzwilliam, NH at age 81. After Silas’s death, Betsey married 2nd Jacob Hale of Boylston, MA. Silas and Betsey had 8 children.
