William Wood, esq. (b. some time after 1702), son of Thomas Wood, LL.D. (b. c. 1661 - d. 12 Jul 1722, age 61; bur. Hardwick, Bucks), rector of Hardwick, who wrote The Institutes, and Joanna Barker (bp. Mar 1681/2 - d. 30 Mar 1733; bur. Hardwick). His mother was still unmarried in 1702, so William was born some time later.
