Grover was born in 1883 to Francis Henry and Edmonia Theresa Anderson Wood. He is listed with his parents on the 1900 Census[1] in St. Louis, Missouri. He was first married to Stella Coddington on January 31, 1908 in Jefferson, Kentucky.[2] He is listed with Stella in the home of her parents; Isaiah and Hattie Coddington; on the 1910 Census.[3] He was remarried on December 21, 1923 in Shelby, Tennessee to Laura Belle Weeks Briggs.[4] He is listed with Laura and four children on the 1930 Census.[5] He passed away in 1937 at the age of 54.[6]
