Thomas was born at Middleborough in the Province of Massachusetts Bay on 24 February 1731/2, the son of Thomas and Hannah (Alden) Wood.[1] He was a twin with Abner.[2]
In 1745, Elnathan Wood and John Haskett of Middleborough were appointed his guardians after his father had died.[3]
Thomas married Sarah Thomas at Middleborough on 1 November 1753.[1] Children:[4]

Thomas served during the American Revolution as a private from Massachusetts.[5]
Thomas died 22 October 1817 and is buried at Randolph, Vermont.
