He attended the public schools of the neighborhood and while still a young man, he started his career as a farmer and cattle operator. His efforts were crowned with much success and over the long period of his activities he acquired a large body of land in Putnam county.[1]
Marriage and Family
William married Jennie Yoakum in 1883 in Sullivan County, Missouri.
