William and Deborah had six children, all mentioned in his will except Joseph, who predeceased him in 1786[3]:
John, William, Arnold, Martha (married Mosher), Ann (married Eddy).
He passed away in Westport around 1800. FAG says 1800, the probate date was October 6, 1801.
Will
The will was dated August 10, 1795
The first two pages of his will are switched around, meaning page 2 follows page 3. These two pages are a codicil. In this document he mentions his son William, who "at times appears to be insane or non compos mentis" and how his property should be divided up should he continue to be in that state. In the codicil are mentioned his brother Arnold, his son William and five grandsons, children of William, named Joseph, Abner, Silvester, Weston and Nathan.
The executors are his three sons alive at the time, namely John, William and Arnold.
