Valentine Wood was born on February 14, 1770 in Yorkshire, England, son of William Wood (1747–1795) and Elizabeth Clarkson (1749–1790).[1]
Valentine had a brother, William Wood (1785–1855).
Valentine married Sybilla Magdalena Weigle (born on March 2, 1777 in Backnang, Backnang, Neckarkreis, Württemberg, Germany; daughter of Wilhelm Michael Weigle). Their known children were:
Valentine died on October 12, 1849 in Westmorland, New Brunswick, aged 79. He was buried in Point de Bute Methodist Cemetery, Point de Bute, Westmorland County, New Brunswick.[1]
