Sarah Frances "Sally" Woodall was born on March 30, 1850, in Pittsylvania, Virginia, her father, Lafayette, was 33, and her mother, Nancy, was 40. [1][2]
She married Charles Edward "Charley" Hudson on February 25, 1869, in Lincoln, West Virginia. They had 11 children in 24 years. [3]
The family were living in Putnam County, WV in 1880.

In 1900 they resided in Lincoln County, West Virginia.

Sarah was a widow, (age 60) living alone in the 1910 census of Lincoln County, West Virginia next door to the household of her son George Hudson on Middle Front Road. She was a Farmer and stated she was born in Virginia and her parents in Pennsylvania.[6]
She died 1 Feb 1915 and was buried in the Hudson Family Cemetery, Sweetland, Lincoln County, West Virginia.[7]
