May was born in Woolwich, London on 28 May 1919. She is the daughter of George Woodard and Edith May Lewis.
In 1939, May was residing with her family in Ruislip, Middlesex and she was employed as a Paper Condenser Tester.
In 1941, in Uxbridge, Middlesex, May married James T Ralph, with whom she would have a son and a daughter, born in Uxbridge in 1943 and 1946 respectively.
We believe that May was widowed in 1991 (unsourced) and she passed away in 2004 in Middle Swan, Western Australia.
Research Note
Please refer to the research note in the profile of husband, James. It appears the family emigrated to Australia (year unknown), and this would be supported by May's burial record.
