According to the Biographical Index of South Australian 1836 – 1885[1], Sarah was born in England circa 1851 and emigrated to South Australia with her parents John and Susanna and three siblings James, Elizabeth and Mary. They sailed on the “North”[2] which left Liverpool on 1st November 1858 and arrived in Port Adelaide on 28th January 1859[3].
The passenger list provides the following information:
John Age = 42 Laborer – from Lincoln (therefore born circa 1816)
Susanna Age = 38 (therefore born circa 1820)
James Age = 12 (therefore born circa 1846)
Sarah Age = 7 (therefore born circa 1851)
Elizabeth Age = 5 (therefore born circa 1853)
Mary Age = 1 (therefore born circa 1857)
Sarah married Thomas Henry Lomman at St Georges Church, Woodforde in Adelaide on June 18, 1873[4]and they had two sons James[5] and William John[6] both who died in their infancy[7][8]. She died on 28th November 1880 aged 29 years[9][10].
