Biography
Florence (Woodford) Case was born in New York.
Florence, the daughter of Israel Lonzo and Pamelia (Northrup) Woodford was born in 1852 at Onondaga, New York.
The 1860 census shows that Florence, 8 years of age, was living with her parents Israel L. (44 years), occupation farming, and Pamelia (41 years) and her siblings Clinton N. (13 years) and Lucien (10 months) at Pompey, Onondaga, New York.[1]
In 1870, Florence (18 years) was living with her parents, Israel L. (54 years) and Pamelia (51 years), a farming family, along with her brother Lucien L. (10 years), Ammon W. Woodford (70 years) of Connecticut and a Sarah Smith (57 years) at Pompey, Onondaga, New York.[2]
Florence married Lucien Pitkin Case (1848-1909), the son of Levi Phelps and Harriet (Jones) Case on 18 June 1873.[3]
The 1880 census shows that Florence (28 years) and spouse Lucien (33 years), working at Farming, was living with his wife's family at Pompey, New York. The family included Israel (64 years), a farmer, his wife Pamelia (61 years), son Lucien (20 years), and Israel's sister Sarah (61 years). All of the men were engaged in farming.[4]
in 1900, Florence A., (48 years) and husband, Lucien (52 years), a grocer agent were residing with his cousin, Jennie C. Webber (38 years), a 'Capitalist' and Florence's aunt, Sarah A. Northrup (51 years), a Capitalist were residing at Onondaga, New York.[5]Florence's husband was employed as a commercial traveler for a large wholesale grocery house of Syracuse, New York.[6]
in 1920, Florence A. Case, 67 years of age was widowed and living alone at Syracuse, New York.[7]
Florence A. (Woodford) Case died on 11 November 1936 in her 84th year at Syracuse.[8]She is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery at Syracuse, Onondaga, New York.[9]
