When William Woodford was born on November 12, 1747, in Farmington, Connecticut, his father, William, was 24 and his mother, Susanna, was 22. He had two sons and two daughters with Esther Wilcox between 1772 and 1805. He died on August 5, 1822, in Avon, Connecticut, at the age of 74.
