Birth

Matthew Edward Woodman was born in 1889 in Bairnsdale, Victoria, Australia, son of Matilda Mary (Bentick) Woodman and Edward Henry Woodman.^[1]

Marriage

Matthew married Ethel Lilian Jordan.^[2][3]
Ethel had married Matthew's brother James George Woodman in 1915 and had a daughter, Elvie Bessie Woodman.^[4]

Matthew and Ethel had two children:^[3]

• Arthur Edward Woodman (1922–1977)^[5] and
• Jack Woodman.

Death

Matthew Edward Woodman died on 10 July 1968 in Sale, Victoria, aged 79 years.^[3][6][7] His remains were buried at Paynesville Cemetery in Paynesville, Victoria.^[8][9][10]
