A non-fatal casualty of the 1943 Hyde Railway Accident - Treated in Ranfurly Hospital.[5] Injuries: Injuries to chest & hips, Charles A Woods, 34, from Hornby.

He passed away in 1983 and was buried at the Waimairi Cemetery, Burnside, Christchurch City, Canterbury, New Zealand, Block PR31A. Plot 19. [6]
