I am active on Wikitree and I am easy to reach. My response time is very quick. There is no need for anyone to contact my family on my trusted list in order to reach me.

Hi Caroll, what's your relation to the Lehighton-area Diehls? Harry A Diehl (1858-1920) is my closest brick wall. The 1900 census records his parents as being born in Germany, but I am wondering if he's not closely related to the various other Diehl families that lived in the area. His wife's brother also married a Diehl, Mary (Diehl) Green (1854-1943), brother of your Milton Alexander Diehl (1865-1921).

You can message me privately if there are relationships you don't want to put on the public web.

Hello Nathan. I have a very distant connection to the Diehl family through my son in law, so no connection to me. I looked at your work on Harry Diehl and I searched for him in the 1870 Census. Would this be the family here? https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HY-6SXS-58L?view=index&personArk=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AMZ5L-TPN&action=view

You know what, I'm not remembering finding that census source before, with both parents, and a sister. I'm digging in right now, this looks extremely promising. Whether or it's him this is a super-exciting find in plain sight. I'd never found an 1860 or 1870 census source for him or any sources for immediate birth family other than his death certificate. Thank you so so much!

Same family is in the 1860 Census, maybe with the maternal grandmother!:

"United States Census, 1860", , FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MXTQ-HRR : Thu Oct 05 11:58:48 UTC 2023), Entry for Henry Deihl and Catherine Deihl, 1860.

That is interesting for sure. In the 1860 Census Henry's father says he is from Genoa - I assume that is Italy - and the 1870, he is from Prussia - It's pretty tempting to call it the family you are looking for, but I'd still research it more. Congratulations on your find!

Ms. Woods, while researching my father's family tree I found that you are the profile manager for my grandmother, Agatha Kathleen (Redmond) Holmes. Thank you very much. She went by Kathleen or Kal as she disliked her first name. She married my grandfather, Charles Harold Holmes, in Beverly Ma. and they had one son, Charles Anthony Holmes. He was my father. oh, and she remained a Canadian citizen her whole life. Thanks again. - Thomas Anthony Holmes

Hi Carroll,

It’s time for our annual Ireland Project check-in! Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know:

  • If you are happy with the team you’re on or if you’d like to make a change. It is now required that all members with an Ireland project badge work on at least one of the project’s team(s), so if you’ve not yet signed up please do so in your reply to this check-in.
  • What you think the project is doing well, and what (if any) changes you would like to see us make? Are there any teams you would like to become more active in?
  • Would you be interested in helping to work on an Ireland Project newsletter?
  • Please give us some feedback on the use of google group and discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way for us to ensure you receive project communications? If you would like to join us on either one, Just let us know in your response and we will get you signed up.

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within two weeks, we will assume you are no longer interested in participating in the Ireland Project, and your badge will be removed. If you wish to reapply for membership later, we will be happy to have you back. Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely, Jen Hutton, on behalf of the Ireland Project

Hi Caroll,

I created a profile that already was created by you. Could you please complete a merge, keeping the full Risseeuw-160 data and bio? Alternatvely, put me on the trusted list , so I can merge them? Kind regards, Rinke van der Wel.

Carroll,

Thanks for the Death Certificate link for Adelia May (Collicott) Dickinson. I have uploaded and added the information to her record. These contributions are enormously helpful to everyone doing research so keep up sharing the good work.  :)

Hi Carroll,

I am researching the Moelaart Family (my wife's family) and I have hit a hurdle with records that may be conflicting.

Embertus Joannes Adrianus Moelaart is recorded twice in records showing 1930 birth and 1932 birth with death in 1931 and 1933.

Feel free to contact me at [email address removed]

Hi Carroll,

Trijntje Arends Zwart (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Zwart-89) is my direct ancestor (6 generations). I just added the biography of her daughter, Haasje de Groot (De_Groot-1479) and would like to link her with her mother Trijntje Arends Zwart. I'm just starting at WikiTree, so I wanted to ask if I can do this just like that or if you would like to make that link yourself? I also would like to add her husband, Maarten Willems de Groot (1760-1815). Thank you! Yvonne Koeman

Hello Yvonne - welcome to Wikitree. You are allowed to add people to her tree. Just be sure you are not creating duplicate profiles, since Wikitree wants to have only one profile per historical person. I can help if you need it.

Hi Carroll

It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Acadia Project and as we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.

We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. If this is the case for you, please let us know.

If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.

Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.
