Biography

Leonard Woods was born in Princeton, Massachusetts on 19 June 1774.

Leonard married Abigail Wheeler.

Leonard served as the first professor of theology at Andover Theological Seminary, and held the chair of theology from 1808 to 1846.

Leonard died in Andover, Massachusetts on August 24, 1854, and was buried in Phillips Academy Cemetery, Andover.[1]
