In 1861 she and her parents and six siblings lived on a farm in the Tecumseh (now New Tecumseh) area in Simcoe County in what was then called Canada West, now Ontario.
In 1871 she and her mother and five siblings--all but John and Thomas--lived on a farm in Egremont Township (since 2000 part of Southgate Township), Grey County, ON.
In 1881 she, her mother, and brothers James and Richard lived there.
In 1900 she and her husband and their four children lived on a farm they owned in Vernon Township, Walsh County, ND.
In 1910 she and John and three of their children--all but Mary--lived there on the farm which they owned, with a mortgage.
In 1920 she and the same three children, plus William's wife, their four children, and a farm laborer, 21-year-old Harold Sluterbeck, lived there on the farm which they owned, mortgage free.
In 1930 she and her daughter Lydia lived with her daughter Mary, her husband, and their six children on probably the same farm. They did have a radio.
