On 30 March 1851 the Woods family lived in Broall Green, Newport, Saffron Walden, Chrishall, Essex, England. Chapman Woods (45) Straw Carter & Mary Woods (44) with William Woods (20), Eliza Woods (19), Rebecca Woods (18), Thomas Woods (16), James Woods (15), Chapman Woods (9), Mark Woods (8), Martha Woods (5) & Amos Woods (2).

Chapman Wood (48) Ag Labourer from Essex emigrated with his family, wife Mary Wood (47) and children Mark Wood (11), Martha Wood (8) & Amos Wood (5), Methodists. They departed from England, leaving Southampton on board Constant and arrived in Portland, Australia on 22 Feb 1855. [1]

Mark Woods married Eliza Bellum in Sydney, New South Wales

Widower Mark Woods married Martha Maria Miles at St Peters, New South Wales in 1886. [2]

In 1913, Mark Woods (labourer) lived in Arakoon with Martha Maria Woods (home duties) and son Charles Chapman Woods (fisherman) [3]

He passed away in 1926, aged 83 [4] and he was buried at the Arakoon Cemetery.
