Biography

Adam was born about 1770 (estimated). Nothing is known of his origins except that there was an extensive Woods family in Lancaster Pennsylvania. He married Catharina Swope about 1802/3 and had one son before he died the next year, killed by indians while visiting Kentucky.^{[1] [2]}
