Edward Woodville apparently preferred to be called "Edmund" and lead a somewhat unconventional life for someone of his era. He served as a member of the Orange County Board of Supervisors from 1910 to 1915. The 1900 census show him and his brother John as nephews living with Chambers Sisson a farmer. John is shown to be a merchant with Edward listed as a surveyor. The 1910 census finds the two brothers living with their sister Mary and each is listed as a farmer. Woodville served a single term in the Virginia House of Delegates in 1922-23. Then at some point in the late 20's he and his brother moved to Florida where they lived together until the end of their days.
