Biography

William Ralph Woodward and brother John excited by the gold rush at this time joined thousands in their search for gold. They were digging at Louisa Creek Gold Diggings, near Mudgee, when John Woodward died there from Typhoid Fever, William being the Informant on his brother's Death Certificate. Following the death of his brother William returned to Sydney where his family were living.
