Betty was born in1941 at Winona in Scott County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Gladney Woodward and Mae (Newport ) Woodward . She married Wayne Ronald Paul Dudas . Betty passed away from a automobile accident on August 1, 1971at Brown County Hospital, Georgetown, Brown County, Ohio.

Betty Jane Woodward Dudas, 28, of Dayton, Ohio passed away suddenly Sunday, August 1, 1971 following an automobile accident. She was the daughter of Glad Woodward and Mae Newport Woodward, a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors, husband, Ronnie Dudas of Dayton, Ohio, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glad Woodward of Oak Ridge; one sister, Mrs. Sue DeBoard of Dayton, Ohio; nine uncles, five aunts, two nieces and a host of other relatives. Funeral services were conducted from the Winona Baptist Church 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 1971 with the Charles Marcum officiating. Burial followed in the Newport Cemetery, Winona. West Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. (SCN, 6 Aug 1971, p6) Dudas, Ronald, Mrs. - Former Scott Resident Dies In Ohio Wreck - Mrs. Ronald Dudas, 29, the former Betty Jane (Gensy) Woodward, was pronounced dead on arrival at Brown County General Hospital, Georgetown, Ohio after an accident last Sunday evening, August 1. She is the daughter of Glad and Mae Newport Woodward, Georgetown, Ohio, formerly of Scott County. There were four other passengers in the Dudas car, Ronald her husband, Kim and Robin DeBord, her nieces and Paul Hendly, all were listed in good condition. Mrs. Dudas graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1959 and from Tennessee Tech in 1963. Besides her parents she is survived by one sister Mrs. Wayne DeBord, one half-sister, Virgee, both are residents of Ohio. (Source: The Scott County News, 13 Aug 1971, p1)
