Biography

Dyer was a Revolutionary war veteran he Enlisted in Oblong New York as a Armorer in the co. Commanded by Captain Increase Child’s the Regt of Col. Livingston of the New York State Troopers. The family moved from New York to Connecticut during the war and eventually ended up inFranklin County Indiana he drew a pension from the war his Pension claim is S 17799 it an be found on page 389 of the Indiana DAR book published in 1938

Note: he m. Ann Woodworth; was a blacksmith and a man of general handicraft. In 1798 he moved to Yates Co., NY and in 1814, again moved his family to the west fork of the Whitewater River, Ind.
