She married John Long Rine on 2 July 1848 in Athens County. She was the daughter of Jeremiah Woodyard (1804-1881) and Hannah Chase (1808-1868) and was the granddaughter of James and Anna Maria (Root) Woodyard and of John Merrill and Mariam (Murray) Chase. She was the eldest of their eight children.
