Lewis was born in the Fall of 1809. He married twice. Murrel-23 was the ladder of the two women to join him in matrimony. With his fist wife, Malinda Doom^[10] she had 3 children. John James Woolery 1837-1910; Susan Ann 1841-1925; Joseph 1844-1862. Malinda died in 1845. Being only 40 years old. This must've been devastating and overwhelming for Lewis.
