Lewis was born in the Fall of 1809. He married twice. Murrel-23 was the ladder of the two women to join him in matrimony. With his fist wife, Malinda Doom[10] she had 3 children. John James Woolery 1837-1910; Susan Ann 1841-1925; Joseph 1844-1862. Malinda died in 1845. Being only 40 years old. This must've been devastating and overwhelming for Lewis. He was 35, a widower and Father of 2 boys and a girl. Ages 8, 4 and 12 months old. Somehow he made it work for 4 years by himself and then found a his partner in Susan. They had 5 children together. William F. Woolery; Malinda Jenny; Jobe Woolery; Harvey Woolery and Nancy[11].
