WOOLEVER - John L. of Corwin street, died Monday of cerebral hemmorrhage. The deceased was born in the state of Missouri, April 3, 1884, and was a son of Jonah and Catherine Kellstadt Woolever. He married Mrs. Ida Grooms Hernstein, in this city, October 10, 1913, and is survived by his wife, one daughter, Catharine Winona Woolever, and a stepdaughter, Martha Herrnstein (later Krimmel). Mrs. Clarence Barnhart of this city is a sister.
His step-daughter wrote: "Moved to Harlowton, Montana in Sep of 1914, homesteaded west and north of the Wright station and returned to Ohio in May 1923. I can remember the grass-hopper plague when they had to put out poison to save the crops. The last 3 years we were there we had droughts, hailstorms, and 3 crop failures. In spite of all, they were happy years, and I don't think Mom ever regretted they went out there. One of her greatest pleasures was to sit and tell her friends about their lives in Montana."
