Biography

Matthew was born in 1742. He was the son of Matthew Woolfe and Anna Maria Moore.

Math Wolf, son of Math Wolf and Anne Wolf, was baptised on 23 November 1742 in Lyndhurst, Hampshire, England.[1]

Matthew Woolf died in about 1810 and was buried on 18 May 1810 in Lyndhurst, Hampshire, England.[2]

Matthew Woolfe's Will dated 16th June 1807: This is my last Will and Testament of me Matthew Woolf of Lyndhurst in the County of Southampton Yeoman, I direct that all my just Debts and Funeral expences be first paid and - discharged, - I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Woolf her Executors and Administrators all my Household Goods Chattels and Furniture of every kind whatsoever, I also Give Devise and Bequeath to my said Dau Mary Woolf her heirs and Assigns All that my Freehold Estate Mossuage Tenement and Land and all Barns Stables and every the Outhouses Gardens and Appurtonances thereunto belonging called Dunmeads situate near Pikes Hill in the Parish of Lyndhurst - aforesaid and now in my own occupation - I give Devise and Bequeath unto my Son William Woolf His Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns one Moiety of All that my Copyhold piece of Land called Cages and also One Moiety of all those two Messueages or Tenements Outhouses Land and appurtenances thereunto belonging called Thoms situate in the Parish of Lyndhurst aforesaid, Upon this express condition nevertheless That if my said Son William shall cohabit with, or intermarry with Susannah Maynard of the said Parish of Lyndhurst Widow then this Devise to be void and of none effect, And I give Devise and Bequeath the said one Moiety of the said Copyhold Land Messuages and Tenements unto and between my two Daughters Elizabeth and Mary their Heirs and Assigns for ever to take as Tenents in common and not as joint tenents - I Give Devise and Bequeath the other Moiety or half part of the said Copyhold Land Messuages and Tenements Offices Outhouses and Appurtenances thereunto belonging unto my Son Matthew Woolf his Heirs - Executors Administrators and Assigns for and during the Term of his Natural life and from and after his dicease I Give Devise and Bequeath the said other Mioety of the said Land Messuages and

Tenements and Land unto my said Son William Woolf his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns, but subject to the aforesaid express condition nevertheless I Give Devise and Bequeath unto Mr John Alexander of Bramshaw Yeoman and Samuel Moody of Lyndhurst aforesaid and the survivor of them and the Heirs Executors and Administrators of such survivor All that Messuage or Tenement Garden and Orchard with all their Appurtenances late - Maceys situate in the Parish of Lyndhurst aforesaid and near a certain - Hill called Bunkers Hill And also all that piece of Land situate and being in the Manor of Minestead held by Lease of three Lives under the Lord of the Manor of Minestead aforesaid and now in my own occupation. In Trust to sell and dispose of the same by Public Auction or otherwise, to and for the best price that can be gotten for the same and out of the monies so raised, invest the sum of two hundred Pounds of lawful money of that part of the united Kingdom called Great Britain, in Government Security in their own Names and pay and apply Interest or Dividends arising therefrom as the same shall become due in equal shares and proportions for and towards the Education and Maintainence of my Grandchildren William and Elizabeth Walden, Son and Daughter of my late Daughter Ann Walden deceased until the youngest shall attain the Age of Twenty one years, then my Will and desire is, and I direct that they the said John Alexander and Samuel Moody or the Survivor of them and the Heirs Executors and Administrators of such Survivor shall and do transfer and pay the principal sum so purchased with the said Two hundred pounds unto and between the said William and Elizabeth Walden in equal shares and proportions to and for their own sole use and benefit - I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth the - principal sum of two hundred pounds of lawful money aforesaid to be paid to her by my Executors hereinafter named within one year after my decease to and for her own sole use and benefit - All the rest residue and remainder of my Estate and Effects whether real or Personal I Give Devise and Bequeath unto the said John Alexander and Samuel

Moody their Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns In Trust (after discharging my just Debts and all lawful expences attending the Execution of the Trusts of this my Will) equally to divide the same - between my said Son and Daughters William Elizabeth and Mary Woolf their Executors Administrators and Assigns And I hereby nominate - constitute and appoint the said John Alexander and Samuel Moody joint Executors to this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and - making void all and every other and former Will or Wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Sixteenth day of June in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and seven.
