Dr. Jasper Maxwell Woolley was born on 21 December 1872 in Kensington, Middlesex, his father, Joseph, was 47 and his mother, Sarah, was 28. He married Kathleen Mary Waller in October 1913 in Steyning, Sussex. They had three children during their marriage. He died on 16 December 1947 in Hove, Sussex, at the age of 74.
