Biography
Johanna was born about 1794. Her parents were John L Woolsey (1759-1848) and Deborah Ann Wright (1760-1870).
She married John Shaw in 1818. Their children were (according to FS):
- John Woolsey Shaw 1809-1904
- Deborah A. Shaw 1810-1853
- Ruth Ann Shaw 1815-1888
- Charlotte Shaw 1815-1905
- Isaiah Shaw 1816-1888
- Oliver H. Perry Shaw 1824-1888
She passed away in 1839.
Research Notes
FS and Teddy Chapman's research differ on birth date (1785/1794) and on marriage date (6 Jul 1803 in Charleston, Montgomery, NY/ 1818). Went with Teddy Chapman's research for now. This makes children's dates problematic but can be researched further later and corrected as sources show. Also, her mother is not shown as Deborah Wright on FS, instead it is listed as Sabrina Seamans.
Sources are slim, but after further research, should probably be linked to father already on WT.
