Redden Wooten was born in 1785 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina, USA to Joel Hardy Wooten (1754–1813) and Elizabeth Jordan Wooten (1760–1826). He passed away in 1871 in Brooks County, Georgia, USA.

Redden Wooten was the son of Joel Wooten and Elizabeth Jordan.
